This presentation outlines the challenges for government agencies to approach and embraze social media. In addition, concrete advice is provided in making
non-social organisations use social media. The presentation was first given at the AnibioThreat workshop organized by the Svenska Veterinärmedicinska anstalten.

The (mis)conception of the useful common operating picture.
This presentation discusses the concept of common operating picture and elaborates on the complexities of designing information technology for such purposes. The presentation origins from a workshop talk I did 2010 at the MSB-agency in Sweden.

Human-Centered-Design (HCD) for crisis response design work
This presentation builds upon the HCD-toolkit developed by IDEO. By applying the HCD-toolkit, designers of crisis response technology can quickly gain insights and elaborate on a range of possible design ideas in just a very short time frame. The presentation is used when we run Crisis Response Design Camps. A design camp last between 4 hours to 12 hours. [Presentation on Slideshare]

Why is it so difficult to design IT for emergency responders?
This presentation is a synthesis of the findings from my PhD-thesis, giving many examples how many problems can be avoided when designing and introducing IT in the domain of operative emergency response. This presentation has been highly appreciated by technology/solution providers.
