DIGITALIZATION IN SPORTS

After a quick look today at Facebook groups, it is perfectly clear that Hurricane Gustav has resulted in massive activities on Facebook. It would be interesting to see how many professional organizations are involved in these groups. Or is Facebook only used by people that feel a strong desire to help but have no established channels to materialize this desire. In this sense Facebook Groups could be seen as the mechanisms that improve the ability of rapid responses in what could be viewed as a Hastily Formed Network.
