Today, at the Crismart Symposium in Gothenburg, Tricia Wachtendorf from DRC at University of Delaware gave a very inspiring talk on improvisation and disaster response. Her concept of Flexible and Open Response Management heavily fueled by improvisation is a very fresh alternative to the bureaucratic Command and Control Model.
