Ushahidi on DesignMind

The well-known crowdsourcing crisis-information platform Ushahidi is used as a good example when it comes to designing for participation. The FrogDesign blog “DesignMind”, has a nice article on how social movements, since the 60s has changed, and how platforms such as Ushahidi are addressing the challenges of supporting participating in the new era of social media technology and crowdsourcing. The article also includes a video interview with Chris Block that has done volunteer work on Ushahidi. It is nice to see that the big design companies is picking-up what is going on in the crisis response domain.
