Ubiquitous Information Enviroments and rhythm in time critical work

I am currently working on a paper where I discuss how Ubiquitous Information Enviroments (UIE) in fire and rescue services could affect the rhythm in time critical work. Information technology in emergency response aim to provide means to make a faster, more effecient and safer response operation. However the UIE also provides significant amounts of traces of the fire crews actions which could affect the situated actions and retrospective sensemaking of the fire crew. The point is that the technology not only provide means for improved speed but at the same time provide means to slow down the speed and for the fire crew to be more risk averse and self-reflective due to all the traces that their actions result in.
