The Second international conference on Information Systems for Crisis and Emergency Management held i Brussels 18-20 of april was very successful. The conference had around 120 delegates from a wide range of countries. The presentations in the different tracks clearly showed that IS-research in the domain of Crisis and Emergency Management is a truly multi-disciplinary endeavour.
The PhD-student workshop and subsequent Phd-student evening dinner provided great opportunities for social networking and the exchange of future research ideas. The conference organisers, Bartel Van den Walle & Benny Carle, did pull off a fantastic conference.
Next year the conference will take place at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) in Newark and the conference organizer will be Murray Turoff.
