Today, I had the opportunity to participate on panel at the dissemination conference for the AniBioThreat EU-project. The conference was situated in Brussels, the heart of political power in Europe, which is a good indication of the importance of the results from the project. The AniBioThreat-project was coordinated by National Veterinary Institute (SVA) in Sweden with Rickard Knutsson as the coordinator.
The project covered several different areas and of particular interest from my perspective were the focus on modelling and visualisation for improved detection and information sharing systems as well as the use of social media data as input for improved understanding in crisis events.
If you are working on issues concerning human, animal and food related deceases, please have a look at the findings from this project. More information is available at: www.anibiothreat.com and at: www.sva.se.
